Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark Campaign Adventure Attic Kick Off!

Feb 03 - 09, 2014 | Adventure Attic, 28 King Street West

Through the MACgreen for Grasslands initiative, McMaster students have pledged to raise $25,000 for the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System in order to help protect the environmentally-significant stretch of grasslands located north of the campus.

They hope that this week-long (Monday-Sunday) campaign at Adventure Attic will be the start of something big for McMaster's initiative! The goal is to reach local retailers within the region and generate donations from customers who want to make a difference. Staff members are asked to inform customers and community members about the project and request a small donation that will go directly towards the preservation of the land nearby. Volunteers from McMaster will be taking part in this event on Saturday February 8th at Adventure Attic for a question and answer session on the initiative, and providing free giveaways for customers. Stop by, go shopping, chat with Mac students and learn about your local environment and what you can do to save it! Make a donation to the Cootes to Escarpment Eco Park System and in return you will get to sign your name on a leaf that will be displayed in store. Soon everyone in the community will be able to see that you have made a difference!
