Protecting our Natural Heritage: Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System. Inspire Burlington speaker series presentation.

Feb 19 | 7:00 pm | Burlington Performing Arts Centre

Burlington has reached build-out – meaning that the rest of our developments will come in the form of infill, intensification and redevelopment projects – with urban areas of our city increasing in density. The  preservation and reconnection of our significant natural lands will therefore become much more important to us over the coming years.

The Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System consists of almost 1,900 hectares of publicly owned open space containing some of the most biologically rich areas of Canada. The protection and enhancement of the ecopark system will ensure that Burlington residents will always have access to this valuable natural landscape.

Dr. David Galbraith will describe the beauty and significance of the Cootes to Escarpment EcoPark System and explain how you can  help create a lasting natural legacy for future generations.

Please register today to ensure your seat.

This presentation is part of the Inspire Burlington speakers series hosted by Burlington Mayor Rick Goldring, which "explores ideas, frames global issues as they impact Burlington, examines solutions, and investigates ways to shift perspectives on the unique opportunities coming our way. It is a marketplace of innovative thinking that encourages significant public participation through question-and-answer periods."
